POOL & SPA MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Starting at $20/hour | Full-time, year-round

Nelson’s HomeTowne Recreation is looking for a dependable Pool & Spa Maintenance Technician to join our team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently, being outdoors, and seeing the results of their work each day. During the pool season, you’ll travel to customers’ homes in a company vehicle to keep their pools and spas clean, properly balanced, and ready to enjoy. During the off-season, you may also assist customers in our retail store and at our in-store water testing station.

What you’ll do:

• Perform routine swimming pool and spa cleaning and maintenance
  • Vacuum pools and clean pool and spa surfaces
  • Test and adjust water chemistry
  • Deliver chemicals and other supplies
  • Log each service visit using a phone or tablet
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners and report service details to the Service Manager
  • Safely handle and transport chemicals, salt, and other supplies
  • Assist customers in the retail store and at the water testing station during the off-season

What we’re looking for:

• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Able to work independently and manage a daily service route
  • Comfortable using a phone or tablet to document service visits
  • Dependable, detail-oriented, and professional with customers
  • Basic knowledge of water chemistry is helpful but not required—we’ll provide paid training for the right person

Position details:

• Full-time, year-round employment
  • Mostly Monday–Friday daytime hours
  • Starting at $20/hour, based on experience

Showroom Sales Consultant (Inside Sales Specialist)

Starting at $20+/hour + commission opportunities (based on experience)

Nelson’s HomeTowne Recreation is looking for a friendly, motivated team member to join our growing sales team.

This is not your typical retail position. You’ll help customers create their dream backyards by selling pools, hot tubs, water care products, game room equipment, hockey gear, and more. You’ll also perform computerized pool and spa water testing, recommend products, prepare quotes, and build lasting customer relationships.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in our showroom with pools, hot tubs, water care, hockey equipment, and recreation products
• Perform computerized pool & spa water testing
• Recommend products and solutions based on customer needs
• Prepare quotes and follow up with customers
• Help maintain an organized, customer-friendly showroom

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Dependable and motivated
• Comfortable using computers and learning new products
• Previous sales or customer service experience is preferred, but not required

Schedule Requirements

• Weekday shifts until 7:00 PM
• Saturdays until 5:00 PM
• Sundays until 2:00 PM

Pool and spa experience is not required—we’ll train the right person.
